It's Not Yet Dark by Simon Fitzmaurice

"Death. On my shoulder. In my head. In the garden . At my door of my office. In every glance with my wife. My new companion : the end of my life."
"Hope is not about looking for a cure to a disease. Hope is a way of living. We often think we are entitled to a long and fruitful Coca Cola life. But life is a privilege, not a right. I feel privileged to be alive. That's hope. "

This book takes you in the journey of this young man  from being a happy , being in love , good things happening in life, in job to a sudden diagnosis of ALS and you go through his journey with him . You can feel his frustration, his helplessness, and his fear . For me, the most inspiring thing about his journey was , his fight for life . It is an heartbreaking yet at the same time extraordinary book of fight for life, love , and family .

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

How do you give someone a piece of sky?

You see, people may tell you that Nazi Germany was built on anti-Semitism, a somewhat overzealous leader, and a nation of hate-fed bigots, but it would all have come to nothing had the Germans not loved one particular activity:
To Burn

proof again of the contradictory human being. So much good, so much evil. Just add water.

So I have read  many books about Nazi Germany and every time I think about the camps , the families in there and I can not even fathom how it must have been to be there . But this book in particular stood out to me . When I read about Max ,the Jew in hiding , I could just feel him getting stripped of his dignity as a human being . It must be the hardest thing for a human being to hide , to live on other peoples mercy "JUST" so you can be alive .  I would recommend this book to everyone . Great story telling, captivating ,you would not want to set it down until you have finished reading it .
